WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Stan Lee is denying reports that his daughter Joan Celia “J.C.” Lee and friend Keya Morgan are conspiring to “gain control over [his] assets, property and money.”
- The 95-year-old legendary comic book writer made two videos standing by the couple for The Hollywood Reporter.
- Lee didn’t deny nor confirm signing any document stating that Morgan is trying to manipulate her daughter against him.
Stan Lee confirmed, “my relationship with my daughter has never been better and my friend, Keya Morgan and I, also have a great relationship.”
Lee denied a Feb. 13 document allegedly signed by him, claiming that Morgan and other two men were trying to influence the 68-year-old J.C. The “plot” supposedly is to wipe his $50-$70 million fortune clean and leave J.C. basically homeless.
The Hollywood Reporter obtained the papers or documents reportedly signed by Lee claiming that J.C. has “never had the ability to understand or manage money.” Lee’s daughter was also accused of overspending the money given to her in a trust.
According to the documents, J.C. also would reportedly demand properties his father owns would be transferred into her name. The documents said Lee has always resisted the idea.
The documents also mentioned that Stan Lee wanted to get an Irrevocable Trust which would pay all expenses for Lee’s home and condominium. J.C. is assured that she could live there for free. She could also rent or sell the properties but will only be paid the positive cash flow earned.
In the video recorded by Morgan, Lee describes the documents as “totally incorrect, inaccurate, misleading, and insulting.”
“I want to say it as clearly as I can: my relationship with my lovely daughter J.C. is wonderful,” Lee speaks in the video. “My relationship with my good friend Keya Morgan is great, we’re best friends. There is nothing bad I can say about my daughter or Keya.”
“Everything in my life is going the way I want it to,” Lee continued. “My friends are my friends, my daughter is my daughter, and I’m beginning to learn who my enemies are. That’s really all I can say now. Everything I’ve said up until this moment is God’s truth.”
Lee is the co-creator of numerous iconic Marvel Comics’ characters including Black Panther, the X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, the Fantastic Four and Daredevil.
