WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- During the lockdown, Julian Farel kept his clients’ interests through social media and personal check-in calls.
- The Julian Farel Restore Salon Group also focused on establishing their social media presence and growing their online product sales during the quarantine.
- After New York City reopened its businesses, 1,200+ clients are on the waiting list of the Julian Farel Manhattan salon.
Why would clients pay for a lofty price of a thousand dollars for a Julian Farel haircut? And why would they be willing to wait along with a thousand others?
It is because his clients who come from all over the world to New York, don’t come often, and his haircuts grow through time.
Even with the pandemic closure, Julien Farel, Chairman of the Julian Farel Restore Salon Group, focused on maintaining his strong 91,000 clientele base through personal check-in calls, #wellnessWednesdays, and other motivational quotations on his social media to keep their interests.
“We had meditation every week. Three times a week,” he said.
Farel held weekly calls to his executive team and staff and focused on establishing their social media presence and growing their online product sales. It even created an outreach email offering complimentary consultations over Zoom platform “to help all the professionals navigate this reopening.”
Farel told Yahoo Finance’s The Final Round, “We had work on how we are going to regrow.”
In order to comply with the social distancing measures of the coronavirus and at the same time make their clients secure, the 10,000 square foot salon in Manhattan was changed.
With this strategy, clients have been looking forward to Farel’s salon reopening when New York lifted its restrictions and businesses including beauty salons were allowed to operate.
After his salon re-opened, Julian Farel said, “It’s crazy to be met by a 1,200+ waiting-list.”
