AGT contestant’s crossbow stunt ‘injures’ Simon Cowell, shocks Sofia Vergara [Video]

WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:

  • Simon Cowell pulled an epic prank on Sofia Vergara during Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent.
  • Cowell successfully tricked his co-judge into believing that she had shot him in the chest in a fake crossbow accident.
  • AGT host Terry Crews, who was in on the prank, even called for a medic.

Simon Cowell successfully tricked Sofia Vergara into thinking that she had shot him in the chest in a dangerous stunt gone wrong on America’s Got Talent.

The 61-year-old mogul fooled the former Modern Family star by enlisting the help of couple Ryan Stock and Amberlynn Walker, who previously went viral following a botched crossbow stunt.

Both Simon and Sofia were brought to the stage to help with the couple’s act, with Ryan placing a balloon over Simon’s head while Sofia, 48, was blindfolded and told to wait for a prompt to fire the weapon.

However, unknown to her, producers silently rushed on to the stage and made it look like Simon had been struck by an arrow, complete with fake blood.

While he lay on the floor pretending to be stricken, Amberlynn removed the arrow from Sofia’s weapon.

Seconds after she fired, the audience immediately gasped in shock while presenter Terry Crews also played up the incident.

A stunned Sofia removed her blindfold and stared at Simon in disbelief – before he let her in on the prank.

‘I got you,’ he told her as she rushed over to his side.

Sofia apologised to Amberlynn for pushing her while in shock and warned Simon she will be getting her own back.

‘You know I’m Columbian and we get revenge,’ she hissed.

AGT hopefuls are risking life and limb for a shot at moving on to the next round of competition or maybe earning the coveted Golden Buzzer.

Last week, host Terry Crews gave out his Golden Buzzer to a Taekwondo demonstration troupe, who wowed the audience with their gravity-defying talents and indomitable spirit of competition and resilience.

Cowell had already given his Golden Buzzers to Jane Marczewski who rendered an original song titled It’s OK. The 30–year-old native of Ohio, known as Nightbirde, revealed she is battling cancer.
