WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Andy Dick has been on the headlines lately for inappropriate sexual behavior allegations and charges.
- In 2007, while guesting on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the comedian publicly groped Ivanka Trump, causing the host to panic.
- With all the sexual allegations thrown at Dick these days, the video footage of the show resurfaced showing the comedian rubbing the president’s daughter’s legs.
More than 10 years before Andy Dick was charged for groping a woman passing by him on the streets of Los Angeles, the comedian also groped President Trump’s daughter during a guesting at a talk show in 2007.
In a resurfaced video, Andy Dick, now 52, and Ivanka Trump were sitting together while the latter was being interviewed by host Jimmy Kimmel. Out of a sudden, the comedian started rubbing his hand on Trump’s legs.
“You don’t play up the glitter on your legs?” Dick asked Trump, with his hand still on her legs.
Ivanka, now 36, looked shocked and slapped his hand. She just laughed it off and try to remove his hand from her legs. Kimmel stood up from his seat trying to help her.
“Andy, don’t, please, don’t touch Ivanka,” Kimmel said almost pushing Dick away. “Donald Trump will kill both of us.”
After a moment, Dick was dragged off the stage by security and Kimmel himself.
Later, Kimmel told Extra that Dick “was a little out of it. She came out, he wanted a big, wet kiss. It was time for Andy to go, so I escorted him out by his feet.”
Dick brought up the story last year when he shared a screenshot of the video on Instagram.
“The time I “groped” Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, on Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he captioned the post. “Her legs were sparkling, and I was trying to see if the glitter would wipe off.”
On Monday, the L.A. City Attorney confirmed to PEOPLE that Dick was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery related to an April incident. According to TMZ, the comedian allegedly squeezed a stranger’s butt twice while making lewd comments to her.
His arraignment is set for July 18 at the Van Nuys Courthouse, the city attorney says.
Dick has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior several times, including allegations of groping, kissing and licking people’s cheeks, as well as making sexual proposals, involving the production crew of Raising Buchanan.
He had also been removed from the sitcom Vampire Dad after similar accusations.
Dick denied the groping accusations but confirmed that he did lick people.
“I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them. That’s my thing,” he claimed.
The comedian admitted to THR that he propositioned people on set.
“Of course I’m going to proposition people,” Dick said. “I’m single, depressed, lonely and trying to get a date.”
