KPAX reports a Montana family waking up last Friday to find a surprise guest lazing in their home.
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office reported that around 5:45 A.M, deputies responded to a call that a black bear broke into a home near Butler Creek. Allegedly, the furry animal managed to open the door to the mudroom and astonishingly deadbolt the door from inside, according to a viral Facebook post.
It was likely that the bear went into a state of panic and tore the room apart before deciding to rest in the closet. When the officers arrived on the scene, the bear was found taking lounging in a closet on a shelf.
The Sheriff’s Officer wrote that the bear was not even the least bit impressed when deputies came knocking on the window. “He slowly stretched, yawned and looked toward the door.”
At first, the bear refused to leave when police opened the door to let it out. Eventually, the animal had to be sedated by officers from the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks before safely removing it from the home.
On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office released a follow-up video that showed the bear casually looking straight at the person recording the incident as if there was nothing wrong with his naughty actions.
The original Facebook post has been liked as of Monday nearly 8,000 times and has received more than 1,000 comments, with some making jokes about the odd incident.
