A red pickup truck speedily took a 70-foot fall from a freeway bridge and its driver is still alive.

The accident was captured in a footage by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, where it showed how the truck rapidly fell from a highway exit ramp bridge.

Before 10 AM on Saturday, deputies with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the one-car personal injury crash westbound on I-94 in the Zoo Interchange.

“A red pickup truck skidded off the East to the South Zoo Interchange ramp and landed in the direction of the I-94 westbound through traffic,” the statement said.

When the deputies arrived, the truck was sitting upright in a distress lane. There were also two citizens who stopped to help the driver, who was the only one in the car.

Fortunately, the Wisconsin driver was found still conscious upon the deputies’ arrival on the scene.

“The driver was conscious and breathing and did not show signs of impairment,” the statement read.

In an initial investigation, the driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle while tracking the ramp. The car hit the barrier wall, dropped from 70 feet, and careened onto the road before coming to a standstill.

According to the report, he was then brought to a local hospital, and his condition is still unclear.
