WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Disney star Cameron Boyce passed away at a young age of 20, the Descendants actor’s family confirmed.
- A spokesperson of the family said the actor died in his sleep after suffering a seizure, a result of an ongoing medical condition.
- His acting debut was in the horror film Mirrors but is more popular for his Descendants role and as one of Adam Sandler’s’ kids in the movie Grown Ups 1 and 2.
Cameron Boyce, who starred in the Disney Channel’s television show “Descendants” has passed away at age 20. Boyce played as Cruella De Vil’s teenage son, Carlos in the Disney Channel’s TV series.
“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” the spokesperson said. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.”
“His love of performing began in a dance studio, which then transitioned him into commercials, and not long after television and film,” the spokesperson adds.
Boyce was set to appear in an HBO comedy series “Mrs. Fletcher” scheduled this fall and in the indie feature, “Runt,” where he was also cast in the leading role of Cal.
“Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid,” wrote Sandler. “Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us.”
