Disney World’s Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail got the shock of a lifetime when a snake was found inside the gorillas’ enclosure.
Guests and crew alike were surprised and amused to see a reptile found its way into the gorillas’ “kingdom,” especially when the biggest primates seemed clueless on how to react to a reptile invasion.
According to witnesses, the gorillas were taken aback but were curious to discover why a snake was in their habitat.
It all began when a young gorilla was idly sitting at the glass window when something caught his eye. It suddenly circled around slowly, trying to get good glimpse of what hides in a pile of straw at the corner of its home. Not long after, another gorilla approaches to check what the commotion was all about.
At this point, guests became aware of what was happening with the gorillas, thrilled to watch as the action unfolds. The intruder was apparently too quick for the gorillas but that didn’t stop the troop to get hold of the snake.
The whole thing was captured on video by TikTok user Bearded Kraken (@silkystrokesurvivor), which has now become viral with 5 million views. It was a two-part special titled “Gorilla vs Snake.”
Guests can be heard shouting, gushing over the live action featuring the wild. Disney World’s Cast Member then took the opportunity to explain that gorillas, just like humans, are very curious about what’s going on in their habitat, and how incredibly and naturally intelligent these species of wild animals are.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom not only delivers enchanting experiences like Avatar Flight of Passage in Pandora, A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King, and the quaint Discovery Island, but it brings guests – old and young – up close and personal with a wide range of wildlife.
