WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed on Tuesday that he was recently called out in public by actor Shia LaBeouf.
- Watters shared that he was at an airport lounge when the actor called him ‘trash’ in front of his kids.
- The political commentator shared his experience following CNN host Chris Cuomo’s heated exchanged with a heckler.
CNN host Chris Cuomo apparently isn’t the only cable news personality who experienced a nasty confrontation in public. Fox News’s Jesse Watters claimed on Tuesday that he was recently called out by actor Shia LaBeouf.
Cuomo, who is Italian-American, had a heated exchange with a heckler who derisively called him “Fredo.” Cuomo had cursed out the man and threatened to push his “punk a** down the stairs.”
Watters talked about Cuomo’s experience on The Ingraham Angle’s Tuesday episode.
He acknowledged Cuomo’s right to not be called out in public. But the political commentator also accused the rival host of “hypocrisy” for supposedly encouraging the left to confront conservative leaders.
Watters then shared his own experiences with hecklers, which included one famous actor.
Watters shared, “You know, the other day, I was at a lounge, the Delta Sky situation, trying to take off for a flight with my family. And the actor Shia LaBeouf, or whatever his name is — I think it was him, it looked exactly like him — I walked by and he calls me trash. Right in front of my kids.”
He shared, “And I didn’t say anything, I didn’t lose it, but these things happen.”
Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo jested, “You should have called him Indiana Jones Jr., that would have shut him down immediately.” The joke was in reference to LaBeouf’s role in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The actor’s team has not yet provided any comment.
