WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Test results show that Trisha Yearwood is positive for the coronavirus while Garth Brooks tests negative.
- The couple will be isolating together at their home.
- Brooks says that Yearwood is receiving the best possible care and treatment.
Garth brooks has announced that Trisha Yearwood has tested positive for the coronavirus. They will be quarantining together.
This is the second time they will undergo quarantine as they were previously exposed to the virus when Garth Brooks’s daughter contracted the disease but with mild symptoms.
Brooks, 59, in a statement said: “The Queen and I have now tested twice. Officially, she’s diagnosed as ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now, though, which I’m extremely thankful for.”
The couple are isolating at their home and have canceled scheduled events.
After their initial exposure to a member of their team, it is only now that they have gotten tested. Tennessee’s severe weather has prevented them from testing earlier.
Brooks further said, “Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together. And anyone who knows her knows she’s a fighter and she’s been doing everything right, so I know we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together.”
Brooks said that his wife is tough and is stronger than him. They welcome good thoughts and any prayers. “If anyone asks, that’s what you can do for her. That’s what I’m doing,” he added.
Even if Brooks is worried about the potential long-term effects of the virus on his wife, he said, “Living with her, I sometimes take it for granted she’s one of the greatest voices in all of music, so the possible long-term effects on her concern me as her husband and as a fan. We’re very lucky she is currently under the greatest care in the best city for treating and healing singers.”
