Suzanne Somers does Facebook Live on varying topics from makeup to healthy cooking. She broadcasts it real-time from her and her husband Alan Hamel’s Palm Springs, California home.
One time, The Three’s Company alum was doing a makeup video when a home intruder who wore flip flops and was shirtless suddenly popped in.
The viewers saw how the husband and wife played it cool and asked the intruder what he wanted.
According to the man, he was dropped off on Somers’ property and that he was “terrified”. When asked why, he said, “I’m not even sure. There were ghosts following me.”
To which Somers replied calmly with, “You seem like a nice person. But I’m not used to having people on my property.” Then asked him to immediately leave their home.
She then looked at the camera with a wide-eyed expression to tell her audience that this was not part of her show.
She said she and her husband jumped right into crisis mode. “And crisis mode for me is, I stay calm. I can handle everything.”
In an update after the incident, she said the unexpected guest was “cooperative” when asked to leave. Police arrived later and reprimanded the intruder.
She also thanked her viewers for asking after her well-being.
Somers posted on Facebook: “All clear and safe! Thanks for your concern. Have a great weekend.”
According to the Palm Springs Police Department Watch Commanders Office, they still have no information regarding the incident.
