Sofia Cheung, an Instagram star from Hong Kong, tragically fell to her death while taking a selfie at a waterfall. The 32-year-old influencer has become known for her daring cliff selfies.

According to a report from The Sun, Cheung went on a trip to Ha Pak Lai park around 11 a.m. Saturday with three friends. They visited the park’s Pineapple Mountain site, which is popular among hikers for its sunset views.

The fearless hiker then ventured to the edge of the waterfall to take one of her famous cliff selfies. But she tragically slipped and fell into the 16-foot pool below.

Her friends immediately called emergency services. She was quickly taken to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival, according to The Sun.

Cheung’s cliff selfies have become a hit on her Instagram account, where she has nearly 9,000 followers. Her profile states, “Life should be fun not dumb.”

The last picture she posted on the social media platform showed her in a bikini while holding a boogie board. “Better Days are coming. They are called: Saturday and Sunday,” she captioned the photo.

The photo has since been flooded with condolences from mourning fans who were still in disbelief of her passing. One fan wrote, “I thought better days are coming when Saturday and Sunday? I will gonna miss your chat every day. I love you always. rest in peace my pretty sofi.”
