- A hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, has reportedly accommodated the king of Thailand along with his entourage for a self-quarantine arrangement.

Labeled as the playboy king of Thailand, King Maha Vajiralongkorn has reportedly chosen an extravagant German hotel to quarantine himself from the coronavirus outbreak, and he has allegedly tagged along with a concubine of 20 women and several servants.
The news outlet, the Independent, reported the 67-year-old monarch had reserved the whole Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl, under a “special permission” arrangement to supersede the lockdown restrictions in the Alpine resort spot of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The Independent has acquired the information from a German media outlet.
The report added that King Maha, also famously called Rama X, has allegedly prepared an even bigger event; however, about 119 members of his staff decided to travel back to Thailand, fearing that they might have contracted COVID-19.
It was unclear at the time, though, if former flight attendant Suthida Tidjai, the king’s fourth wife, was with him during the isolation.
Rama X’s hotel occupation had been a talk of the local town since similar facilities in the state have been obliged to cease operations to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl has acquired permission to accommodate the king and his entourage for the reason that these guests are a group of people with no apparent “fluctuation.”
The report said that it was able to get a statement from the local district council’s spokesperson.
The Thai king has always been notorious with his extravagant lifestyle, and the Independent also reported that his recent move has mounted a criticism in his country.
Within 24 hours upon breaking the news of his German escapade, the hashtag, “Why do we need a king?” appeared around 1.2 million times on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the Times of London reported that King Vajiralongkorn has allegedly was never seen to address the public since February. This is despite the fact that Thailand has no less than 1,500 confirmed coronavirus cases recorded.
According to also to the data gathered by Johns Hopkins University, the country already had nine coronavirus related deaths as of Monday.
Maha became Thailand’s constitutional ruler when his father, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, passed away in October 2016, after 70 years of ruling the country.
When requested by the UK Times to comment on the issue, the Thai foreign embassy office in Berlin hasn’t responded yet.
