One of Meghan Markle’s Hollywood friends was ordered by Buckingham Palace officials to remove the photos of the members of the royal family to sell her jewelry line.

According to the Daily Mirror, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer had repeatedly posted pictures of her close friend and Duchess of Sussex Markle in her Jennifer Meyer Jewellery’s Instagram page and website. Her designs are also a favorite of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson.

“Jennifer Meyer has been told to remove the images and in no uncertain terms how damaging this could be for Meghan and the Royal Family,” confirmed a senior palace spokesman who also said that Jennifer Meyer Jewellery violated a non-disclosure agreement, according to the paper adding that no details were given.

The 38-year-old Duchess has long since admired Meyer’s brand by wearing its designs on various royal occasions such as her New York baby shower where she was photographed wearing an $850 18-carat gold necklace that read “mummy”. She was also seen sporting a three-stone turquoise necklace in May when she introduced baby Archie.

“I get really excited when I see her in our pieces – she just radiates amazing energy,” said Meyer of the Duchess. “To be part of such an incredible, historic, beautiful moment was an honor,” Meyer told People during Archie’s introduction.

While the company’s Instagram is still filled with A-listers including Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, and Chrissy Teigen wearing the designs, no photo of the Duchess is now seen.

Buckingham Palace and Jennifer Meyer’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six Style.
