WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Meghan McCain has reportedly become an outcast among “The View” co-hosts because of her “rude” behavior.
- Insider sources told Page Six that McCain’s co-hosts, including fellow conservative Abby Huntsman, no longer talk to her.
- McCain has previously been described by others as “very self-important” and “dismissive” to The View’s guests and co-hosts.
Meghan McCain’s constant feuds with her co-hosts on “The View” has reportedly made her an outcast among the show’s hosts.
Sources informed Page Six that even McCain’s fellow conservative voice on the show, Abby Huntsman, has had enough.
An insider told Page Six, “They aren’t speaking to each other. It’s been about a month. None of the ladies talk to Meghan now. Abby was the last woman standing. It’s bad. Meghan’s so rude.”
“Abby tolerates Meghan, but she doesn’t genuinely like her. Their friendship has soured,” another source revealed.
The growing tension was put into view on Tuesday when Huntsman gave her opinion on former national security adviser John Bolton’s willingness to testify in President Trump’s impeachment hearing.
Huntsman had said, “I think he ultimately has a conscience … He’s someone that I think would be speaking [about] what he thinks is right, not what politically he believes or doesn’t believe.”
McCain had quipped, “The idea that he went home and grew a conscience … Maybe I’ve been in politics too long.”
Huntsman then shot back: “Well, I’ve also been in politics. [It’s] my upbringing too, and a lot of people have been around politics or know politics, whether you have family or not … This show is about opinions.”
Meghan McCain is the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain while Abby Huntsman is the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr., the former U.S. Ambassador to Russia.
McCain has previously been described by others as “very self-important” and “dismissive” for always talking over The View‘s guests and co-hosts.
Just last month, an exasperated Whoopi Goldberg called her out on-air when McCain kept talking over the other co-hosts. “Girl! Please stop talking! Please stop talking right now!” Goldberg had exclaimed.
Goldberg later cleared the air, saying, “Don’t assume that we’re over here with butcher knives under the table.” But according to some insiders, they may as well have the knives sharpened with the way their discussions get heated.
McCain’s behavior has apparently disgusted some viewers so much that they’ve set up Change.org petitions to have her fired from the show.
But a representative of the show defended her, saying, “We have an incredible panel of smart, dynamic women … including Meghan, who brings … passion and a strong point of view to the table every day.”

Really? Why would you replace Megan with someone as polarizing as Ana? She claims to be a conservative, but is unlike any conservative I know, and I’m in TX! The name of the show is The View, and everyone of those women thinks their view is the only valid one. Megan irritates me, but the other women are just as rude and obnoxious as she is. The reason people want her fired is because she is a conservative host on a liberal show watched by predominantly liberals who don’t like her for her politics. Ana would fit right in, but not as a conservative. Please don’t bring Jedidiah back into that snake pit. She deserves better than the way they treated her before.
Lotta weird stuff here. #1, change.org was not set up to have McCain fired- it’s a liberal catch-all site. #2, Huntsman’s response to McCain’s comment was off the wall. McCain made her statement about Bolton’s integrity. There was no need for Huntsman’s “Well, I’ve also been in politics. [It’s] my upbringing too, and a lot of people have been around politics or know politics, whether you have family or not … This show is about opinions.” Huntsman took McCain’s comment as an insult to everyone else on the panel, when it was, if anything, a self reflection from McCain, not a dig at the political background or “credentials” of others. Get a grip, Huntsman.
