HERE’S THE SCOOP:
- A group of friends in a viral TikTok took turns wearing a device that simulates period cramps.
- The men in the video appeared to be in a great deal of pain and discomfort while the women were mostly unfazed.
- Viewers pointed out that the simulated cramps the men experienced was just one of several symptoms of menstruation.
In a now-viral TikTok video, a group of friends tested out a machine simulating period cramps. Let’s just say some that were more prepared for the pain than others.
The video, which has more than a million views on TikTok, shows a group of men and women hooking each other up to the machine. Both the men and women in the video tried the simulator, but not everyone handled it well.
One of the women wearing the simulator turned up to its highest level was seemingly unfazed. Another, while her male friend was doubled over next to her, said the period pain she experiences monthly was worse. Then, one of the men tries it out.
“Is it supposed to hurt like that?” he asked while wearing the device, which was on one of the lowest settings.
“I’m not gonna lie, I’m shaking over here a little bit,” one of the men said while awaiting his turn.
“Hey, who need to breath? I don’t,” one of the men joked.
As TikTok users were quick to point out, abdominal cramps are not the only symptom of menstruation. Others also experience things like headaches, fatigue, nausea, and bloating.
“When he said ‘it’s stabbing me what do I do?!’ You go to work, clean the house and continue on bb,” another commented.
