Rock icons Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl collaborated on a new music single that talked about many of the things that happened in today’s COVID-19 pandemic. The song, titled “Eazy Sleazy”, was released on YouTube Tuesday.
In a Twitter post, the 77-year-old English music legend announced that the new song is out now.
“I wanted to share this song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much-needed optimism — thank you to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass, and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with you on this-hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy!” Jagger wrote.
In its official Twitter account, the Foo Fighters retweeted Jagger’s tweet with the caption: “It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir @MickJagger means to me. It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier……and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!!”
The song talked about the stuff and issues that mainly revolved during the pandemic era, which include but not limited to lockdowns, Zoom, and TikTok, and gaining weight.
Some lyrics also recalled the many, many canceled events: “Cancel all the tours, football’s fake applause, yeah / No more travel brochures / Virtual premieres”.
The song also listed several crazy conspiracies that circulated, such as aliens, the deep state, and Bill Gates’ microchip conspiracy.
But the chorus reminds us: “Soon it’ll bе a memory you’re trying to remеmber to forget.” It also commemorates the world’s little-by-little restoration to the “garden of earthly delights.”
