A player for the Green Bay Packers lost a necklace containing his father’s ashes while scoring a touchdown.
Packers running back Aaron Jones said he recovered the priceless item the following morning.
Jones said he thinks his football-shaped urn necklace fell off during his touchdown catch in the second quarter of Monday night’s game.
“If there was any place to lose it, that’s where my dad would’ve wanted me to lose it,” Jones said. “So I know he’s smiling.”
A team trainer combed through the field and found it the following day.
Jones said he wore the urn Monday night as a tribute to his father, Alvin Jones Sr., who passed at 56. The Packer said his father always went to the games, and he would seek him out in the stands.
