A Florida man was taken into custody after he reportedly assaulted a woman with a slice of pizza during an argument. According to authorities, deputies arrived at the scene following a 911 hangup call for a possible domestic disturbance.

They spoke with the suspect, 39-year-old Ortelio Lazaro Alfonso, who admitted to having an argument with the female victim. The victim claimed that Alfonso became upset when she disciplined another individual in the home and proceeded to slap her with a slice of pizza.

The victim had pizza sauce on her clothes, collar, and hair, while the kitchen walls and ceiling were also covered in sauce. When questioned, Alfonso initially denied striking the victim with his hands, claiming that he threw the pizza slice and it hit her in the face.
