WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Fans of NFL star Rob Gronkowski were delighted to see him back in the spotlight Tuesday night, although it was not in a football game.
- The former New England Patriots’ tight end showed off his dance moves alongside tennis star Venus Williams and comedians James Corden and Ian Karmel during the Lakers’ halftime performance.
- The 30-year-old football star took a break from the game after winning a third Super Bowl with the Patriots earlier this year.
Fans of NFL star Rob Gronkowski may have to wait longer for his return to the game. When the former New England Patriots’ tight end said he had a “big announcement Tuesday,” it turned out to be about a party that he’s throwing during the Super Bowl, instead of an announcement that he’ll be playing in it.
But the football star is yet to completely close the chapter on his football life, so there is still hope for his future return to football.
Meanwhile, fans can enjoy his moment in the spotlight Tuesday night — when he joined the Lakers dancers for their halftime performance! Tennis star Venus Williams and comedians James Corden and Ian Karmel also joined in on the fun.

The 6’6”, 268-pound Gronkowski did not let his size stop him from keeping up with the Lakers dancers. He was definitely game to show off his dance moves!
The 30-year-old football star took a break from the game after winning a third Super Bowl with the Patriots earlier this year.
Meanwhile, at the basketball game, the Lakers (12-2) went on to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-107 with Anthony Davis having scored 34 points. LeBron James also set another record with a triple-double, becoming the first-ever player to accomplish the feat against all 30 teams.
