  • Disney aired the movie trailer during Monday Night Football’s halftime show, and everybody can’t stop talking about it since.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s new trailer, screened at its Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando, made America excited to watch the franchise’s latest offering.

The first official full-length trailer, released by Disney, shows plenty of action, twists, new and returning characters and eye-popping special effects.

Tickets for the film started selling on Oct. 9.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the eighth installment of the Star Wars saga series. The franchise’s last offering was The Force Awakens in 2015.

Writer and director Rian Johnson warned spoiler-phobic fans on Twitter, writing: “I a[m] legitimately torn. If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid it. But it’s gooooood…..”

Some spoilers hinted by the movie trailer were as follows:

At the beginning of the trailer, Supreme Leader Snoke’s voiceover was saying, “When I found you, I saw raw untamed power, and beyond that…something truly special.”

While he was saying this, the focus was on his loyal servant Kylo Ren. But at the end of his introductory speech, Rey suddenly appeared holding a lightsaber. That made people thinking, who was he referring to?

Rey shows up in the trailer igniting the Skywalker family lightsaber, not looking confident about it. At the end of The Force Awakens, Rey met Luke Skywalker. The Jedi Master is in a self-imposed exile on the planet Ahch-To.

While training Rey, Skywalker says, “I’ve seen this raw strength only once before. It didn’t scare me enough then. It does now.” So it’s obvious that he fears Rey’s enormous power.

In another scene, Kylo Ren appears to be contemplating on blasting the Resistance vessel that his mother Leia is commanding.  Did he or did he not? Leia is played by Carrie Fisher who died on December 27, 2016. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Fisher’s last movie.

Chewbacca was also shown piloting the Millennium Falcon with an adorable new character. The birdlike creature is called a porg, even the sound it made is so cute. It’s much smaller and way cuter than an Ewok.

Most of the trailer focuses on the seemingly intertwining fates of Rey and Kylo Ren.

The trailer ends with Rey saying, “I need someone to show me my place in all this.” Then it shows Kylo Ren, a hand reaching out. The trailer makes it appear that the two are teaming up.

The official Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer already garnered over 28 million views on YouTube.
