WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- A woman from Texas has been arrested on Friday after allegedly biting off a piece of another woman’s nose and swallowing it.
- Forty-one-year-old Jessica Collins, a guest at the victim’s home, is being charged with assault and bodily injury.
- The hostess claimed that Collins, who demanded more alcohol and cigarettes, attacked her after she asked her to leave.
Jessica Collins, 41, was invited to her friend’s neighbor’s house after a night out at a bar.
The hostess, identified only as Tatiana, told ABC 13 that Collins asked for more alcohol and cigarettes when they arrived at her home.
Tatiana, 28, identified Collins as a friend of her neighbor. She claimed that her house guest attacked her after she asked the two of them to leave.
The hostess said Collins jumped on her and threw her to the ground by her hair, according to ABC 13.
“I didn’t have time to react, to push her away,” Tatiana said. “I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn’t. All I could remember was the taste of blood in my mouth.”
Tatiana also said she was not aware that she had been badly injured until she was on her way to the hospital. Collins allegedly bit off a large piece of her nose and swallowed it, the outlet reported.
“I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance,” Tatiana said. “I was screaming, like, ‘I don’t have a nose. I’m 28 years-old and I don’t have a nose anymore.'”
Unfortunately, Tatiana does not have a health insurance and is now facing expensive medical bills.
A friend of hers created a GoFundMe page to raise $12,000—the cost of the reconstructive plastic surgery.
“Because of the missing piece [that] was never recovered, my friend now needs reconstructive plastic surgery,” Tatiana’s friend wrote. “But if she doesn’t have it within 2 weeks, the wound would start to heal and the surgery would be more complicated (according to the doctor).”
Collins was reportedly released on a $1,000 bail on Monday.
