Woman with cancer drinks her own urine every day as cure

A Colorado woman is “addicted” to drinking her own urine and believes it can extend her life.

The woman, identified only as Carrie, said she’s been drinking five glasses of her own pee every single day. The woman claimed she’s been diagnosed with cancer and her urine can cure her.

Speaking on TLC’s My Strange Addiction which was originally aired in 2012, she says she likes warm pee because it’s comforting.

“My urine does smell depending on what I eat, today it tastes somewhat different than it did four years ago.

Carrie says pee can sometimes be “salty, but “sometimes it tastes like champagne.”

“You can taste different things going through your body, there are certain things I don’t like to eat anymore because they don’t taste very good recycled.”

The 53-year-old said she loves asparagus won’t eat it anymore because “it makes the urine taste really bad.”

Her addiction began after she was diagnosed with melanoma, a type of skin cancer. Although she was urged to start chemotherapy, Carrie instead began drinking her urine.

“Is this really the best thing for her to be doing to help her health get better?” her daughter, Cassie ,asks in the show.

Footage shows her gulping down one large glass and commenting: “Mmm, maybe a little lemony?”

At Cassie’s insistence, her mom goes to a doctor who spots a suspicious mole on her back which she believes needs to be examined.

The doctor is sympathetic and asks Carrie if a biopsy shows her cancer had spread and the urine therapy had failed, maybe she would consider starting on chemotherapy.

In tears, Carrie replies she had “lost faith” in medicine and will continue to drink her wee no matter what.

“From everything I have read, if I quit I will die,” she says.
