Here’s the scoop!

  • A YouTube channel called WhistlinDiesel tested the durability of a Tesla Model 3 by putting it through extreme challenges, including driving with a parking boot and driving through a garage door using its remote Summon feature.
  • They also tested whether an electric car could be driven upside down with the help of wheel specialist Fitment Industries, who built a set of 10-foot tall wagon style wheels that could be attached to the Tesla’s hubs.
  • The video ends with the car being flipped upright again and unceremoniously rolled down a hill with no one in it.

The Tesla Model 3 has been put through its paces in a new video by YouTube channel WhistlinDiesel. The crew tested the car’s durability by subjecting it to a range of extreme challenges, including driving with a parking boot attached and using the remote Summon feature to send it through a garage door. But they didn’t stop there – they also wanted to find out whether an electric car could be driven upside down.

To make this happen, they enlisted the help of wheel specialist Fitment Industries, who built a set of 10-foot tall wagon style wheels that could be attached to the Tesla’s hubs. The car was lifted into place with the help of an excavator, and the wheels were attached.

The Model 3 had enough ground clearance to drive over a Ferrari and was then flipped upside down. Host Cody Detwiler then demonstrated how it could be driven in this position, though with some difficulty.

The video ends with the car being flipped upright again and unceremoniously rolled down a hill with no one in it. It’s certainly an unusual way to test a car’s limits, but the Tesla Model 3 seemed to hold up surprisingly well.
