WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- Shantel Carrillo from Santee, California posted a photo of her 20-week old unborn baby’s scan to social media last month.
- Shortly after, her friends began noticing ‘an angel kissing’ her unborn daughter in the top left corner.
- Carrillo, who believes the ‘angel’ was her late father Chuck who passed away in 2016, also posted a photo of Chuck holding her first daughter when he was still alive.
A California woman claims her ultrasound picture shows her late father kissing her unborn daughter.
Shantel Carrillo from Santee posted the 20-week ultrasound to social media and friends were quick to notice something unusual.
“Right when I posted it, like 30 seconds later, someone was like, ‘There’s an angel kissing your baby,” Carrillo told NBC San Diego.
She believes the ‘angel’ was her late father, Chuck, who passed away in 2016, who can be seen ‘kissing’ her daughter in the womb.
It shows a figure in the top left corner which Carrillo believes resembles her father.
“It has his nose, his little chubby cheeks, his little double chin, and my dad wore a hat like all the time. It looks like the bill of his hat and his lips are just touching hers so perfectly,” Carrillo told ABC10.
The scan was posted alongside a picture of her late father holding her first daughter Myree when Chuck was still alive.
Carrillo said her father would be ‘over the moon’ to be part of her second daughter’s life.
Though she added it could be her placenta looking like her father’s image, nonetheless, she is overjoyed at the special picture.
“It does look a lot like my dad and it’s awesome. And, you know, it could be him, just saying, ‘Hey, I’m here, and it’s all good,’” Carrillo said. “Or it could be that the placenta just looks like my dad, which is awesome, too.”
Carillo is due to give birth in April which is also the same month her father was born.
