HERE’S THE SCOOP:
- A woman shared a first date fail in a now-viral TikTok.
- Right before their date, the man called her the C-word in a text meant for his buddy.
- Although he apologized profusely, nothing could salvage the night.
In this case, the letter “C” stood for “caught.”
Molly Hair, a Missouri-based social worker, shared an unfortunate encounter wherein a man called her the C-word in a text meant for his buddy.
“I was on my way to a first date and this happened,” Hair wrote in the captions of her now-viral TikTok.
“Waiting on this c—t,” the message read. “I took a pinch for confidence,” he added, suggesting that he might’ve ingested a substance to dull his nerves.
“Omg I was joking with a buddy,” he wrote immediately.
“Yeah to be honest I’m not really comfortable meeting anymore,” Hair wrote. “I just don’t really feel like it’s okay to call women that even as a joke and I see it as a red flag sorry!”
Instead of cutting his losses, the guy continued his efforts to salvage the evening.
“I’m really f–king sorry Molly in no way shape or form that I think of you that way I talk too much and I’m not as funny as I think,” he wrote. “I’m not trying to reconcile but I do want to apologize sincerely I’m sorry.”
Hair accepted his apology and wished him a good week. But he continued to text her.
Now, Hair wishes she’d blocked him immediately.
“I was probably way too nice in rejecting him,” she said. “The social worker in me just wants to help people learn and grow from their mistakes.”
“I probably should have just ignored him,” she added.
