HERE’S THE SCOOP:
A heartwarming moment between a civilian and a deputy with the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan was captured on bodycam earlier this week. The deputy, identified as Deputy Thorne, was called to a vehicle on the side of the road where he found “Joe,” who was feeling overwhelmed and needed a break. After hearing about Joe’s struggles and concerns, Deputy Thorne asked how he could help, and Joe simply asked for a hug. Deputy Thorne embraced Joe, and Joe was able to release some emotional tears.
Deputy Thorne and Deputy Parisek, both military veterans, sat with Joe for the next twenty minutes, sharing stories and providing resources to help him cope with his stress. Deputy Thorne even gave Joe his own contact information to use if he ever needed someone to talk to. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office shared the heartwarming story on social media, receiving an outpouring of positive comments and gratitude towards the deputies for their kindness and compassion.

Nice to see! I hope he gets the help he needs and these deputies continue to add to humanity by their compassion
God bless law enforcement. They possibly prevented this poor soul from hurting himself or others.
Wouldn’t happen in Comal County. The deputy would just yell, “Move it! Move it!”
