WHAT’S BEING CLAIMED:
- As an early celebration of Father’s Day, Ryan Reynolds treated himself to “The Vasectomy.”
- It turned out to be a drink made with Aviation Gin from his booze company.
- The hilariously sarcastic and brutally honest remarks he made throughout the video found many dads relating.
Ryan Reynolds kickstarted the celebrations for Father’s Day by treating himself to “The Vasectomy.” Dads may want to follow suit!
The actor perhaps made his most “clickbait” video yet, entitled “Ryan Reynolds’ Vasectomy,” and has since earned over 1 million views on YouTube.
It turned out to be another one of his promotions for his booze company Aviation Gin, and “The Vasectomy” turned out to be a drink that every dad may want to try out for their special day.
Ryan starts the drink by filling a tall glass with ice, just like “the way children fill our lives with so much joy,” he says with a seemingly forced smile. He then pours 1 oz. of cranberry juice, which is “sweet: just like their little smiles,” he says with a glare. Next was 3 oz. of tonic and a dash of lemon juice. He advises the viewers to squeeze a fresh one, but store-bought is also okay “if the little ones have you running around a bit today.”
He then finishes the drink with the most important ingredient, which was none other than Aviation American Gin, which the actor described as the “world’s highest-rated gin for the world’s highest-rated job: Dad.” He poured 1.5 oz, in case you were taking notes. Stir, then add some garnish.
After taking a sip, he says, “Now that is as refreshing as fatherhood.” He then jokes, “Well, something I call the vasectomy for no f–king reason at all. Happy Father’s Day everyone.”
His fellow dads couldn’t help but relate to the actor’s sarcastic remarks, and applauded him for his delightful version of “The Vasectomy.”
One dad jested, “Your 1.5 ounce is slightly better than the ones I’ve had,” while another called the video “hilarious and brutally honest.”
Even David Beckham, who has his own alcohol company, called it “amazing” and added a fire emoji.
Despite all the jokes, Ryan simply loves being the father to his three daughters, James, 6, Inez, 4, and 20-month-old Betty, as well as a supportive husband to his wife Blake Lively, whom he made sure to greet on Mother’s Day.
He celebrated Blake’s motherhood in an Instagram post that read, “It can’t be said enough… you’re the heart and soul of every moment this family shares. I’m grateful for the light and for the kindness you smuggle into each and every second of our lives. … The tender grit it takes to be a mother in 2021 is an act of pure strength and heroism.”
Cheers to all the seemingly tireless fathers and mothers out there — you survived over a year stuck with the kids! You definitely deserve to kick back, relax, and take a drink. Perhaps you may want to try “The Vasectomy”?
